Hamas has offered a “ceasefire” if Israel will stop its retaliation for terror rocket and mortar attacks on its citizens in the western Negev.
“If the enemy stops the escalation and aggression against our people we will implement the Palestinian national agreement,” said the Izz a-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, in a statement issued shortly after an air strike by the Israel Air Force Monday night.
Israel's Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon also warned Monday that Hamas leaders were in the crosshairs.
“If Hamas decides to escalate, we will put an end to it,” Ayalon said in a Hebrew-language interview broadcast on Voice of Israel government radio. “We have several actions [available to us] before putting ground forces in Gaza, including direct threats against Hamas leaders,” he warned.

This week alone, 56 mortars and missiles fired by Gaza terrorists have exploded in southern Israeli towns.
More than 130 attacks emanating from the Hamas-ruled region have struck southern Israel since the beginning of January.

Det här låter väldigt spännande. Israel kan ev bli trea efter Kina och USA som producent av viss sorts olja utöver de stora naturgasfynd som ligger inom statens territorialvatten. Detta skulle skapa en helt annan politisk situation för Israel visavi oljeberoende västervärlden inklusive Sverige.

Tryckfrihetsjury finner Carl P Herslow oskyldig till tryckfrihetsbrott.
Jag har inte lyckats finna sagda TT-notis i något svenskspråkigt media så jag citerar The Local.
The poster included the text: 'He is 53 and she is nine. Is this the kind of wedding we want to see in Skåne?'.
Herslow admits producing the poster but contested the charges. He said the aim of the poster was to stimulate a debate about Islam, which he argued was incompatible with democracy and equality.
"The intention was to provoke a strong reaction among both Muslims and non-Muslims," he said.
Prosecutor Bo Birgerson, representing the Chancellor of Justice (Justitiekanslern - JK) - the country's top legal official, who is responsible for prosecution of cases involving freedom of speech - said that the distribution of the poster showed disrespect to Muslims.
Birgerson argued that previous cases in the Supreme Court showed that conviction for Herslow would not violate his right under Swedish law to freedom of speech.
"A conviction is important to show where the boundaries are for debate in an open and democratic society."
The prosecution argued that Herslow should to be given a suspended prison sentence and for the posters to be confiscated.
But after deliberating less than an hour the jury, which are only used in Sweden in freedom of speech cases, told the court that Herslow was not guilty of agitation against an ethnic group.
As a result, the court cannot convict the politician when it delivers its formal verdict on March 16th.
A Swedish politician facing charges for producing a poster depicting the Muslim prophet Muhammad naked together with his nine-year-old wife was found not guilty by a jury in Malmö on Wednesday.

Dubbelt medborgarskap? Abbas mfl i Fatahledningen....
Måste bara be er läsa Joe Settlers träffande blogginlägg. Han träffar verkligen huvudet på spiken.
The JPost is reporting that PA president Abbas (and his children) and Palestinian strongman Dahlan have taken out citizenship and passports from Jordan.
In fact, many PA leaders have taken on Jordanian citizenship and passports.
This is happening as Jordan has been busy trying to strip citizenship of many of it Palestinian citizens, who in fact make up some 80% of the Jordanian population.
Now, it could be that these PA leaders are expecting to be exiled at some point by their citizens for their corruption and are using their dual citizenship as a backup plan.
But the question really is, is it really dual citizenship?
With "Palestinians" making up the vast majority of the Jordanian population, Jordan is actually a de facto Palestinian state under occupation by a dictatorial colonially established minority government.
True, it's a government that made peace with Israel, but isn't democracy so much more important than a peace treaty?
So in reality, Abbas, Qurei and the rest are simply taking on citizenship in the real Palestinian state currently under occupation.
I personally don't see any contradiction

Vad är litet vad är stort?
Sitter och återhämtar mig efter ett läkarbesök. Jag skall börja använda mig av insulin för min diabetes. Jag som är spruträdd, efter att ha blivit misshandlad av ett antal elever när jag låg inlagd i väntan på min yngste sons ankomst. Jag hade havandeskapsförgiftning o de tog blodprov stup i kvarten och jag är inte "lättstucken". En 24 årig arbetarunge klagade inte på den tiden och begärde annan "stickare". Jag såg ut som om jag hade kallbrand i bägge armarna o händerna till slut.
Nåja det var inte det jag funderar över mest utan min egen själviskhet.
Här håller hela den muslimska världen på att flamma upp i det "uppror" Muslimska Brödraskapet" förberett i årtionden och jag oroar mig mer för min egen försämrade ålderssockersjuka samt mina dementa föräldrar som jag åker o lagar mat åt två gånger i veckan, lång resa i bästa fall en o en halv timme i vardera riktning.
Mitt senaste inlägg ger nog en rätt klar syn på hur jag ser på det som nu händer i Kairo, Libanon o kanske Tunisien med flera.
Tunisien finns det ett visst hopp för. Där finns det faktiskt en ganska samlad i västerländsk mening opposition. Men de övriga följer Muslimska Brödraskapets dagordning.
Hur det går med Jordanien skall bli inressant att se, denna onaturliga statsbildning med en rövarhövdings familj som kungahus är en hybrid som kan gå åt vilket håll som helst.
Men just nu bekymrar det mig mest om mor o far är på rätt humör att ta emot mig tillsammans med kommunens biståndshandläggare ocvh tala om hjälpbehov, närmast att Mamma måste ha dyngnetruntvård och pappa helst inte skall hugga sig i benet med yxan en gång till när han hugger ved. OCH framförallt att de äter det jag har med mig. Öppna kylskåpsdörren tycks vara något numera helt okänt och bror mins köpta färdiglagade varenda kväll duger inte, fel kryddor.
